Martinstown Circle Suppers have launched their 10th year of fundraising by presenting a cheque for £7,350 to Dorchester Poverty Action (DPA).  The funds, raised throughout 2024, will support individuals and families in need across the DT1 and DT2 postcode areas.

At the cheque presentation, held during the launch event for the 2025 Circle Suppers programme, DPA Chair Wendy Hilton said:  “We are very grateful to Martinstown Circle Suppers for their generosity and dedication. Their support enables us to continue helping those in need during these challenging times.”

In 2024, DPA issued £61,000 in grants and, with the reduction of the fuel allowance from 7.6 million to an estimated 1.3 million households in 2025, the demand for assistance is expected to rise significantly.
